Frequently Asked Questions

Both countries are year-round destinations. The dry season (June–October) offers the best general game viewing, while January–March is ideal for the wildebeest calving season in the southern Serengeti, and July–September is peak season for the Mara River crossings in Kenya.

Most nationalities can obtain a Tanzania or Kenya e-Visa online before arrival, or a visa on arrival at major airports. The East Africa Tourist Visa also covers Tanzania, Kenya and Rwanda on one visa. We'll confirm the exact requirements for your nationality once you inquire.

A Yellow Fever certificate is required if you're arriving from a country with risk of transmission. We also recommend routine vaccinations and malaria prophylaxis — please consult your doctor or a travel clinic before departure.

US Dollars (cash, 2013 or newer) are widely accepted, alongside Tanzanian Shillings and Kenyan Shillings. We accept bank transfer and major credit cards for bookings; small vendors and tips are best paid in cash.

We recommend booking 3–6 months ahead for peak season (July–September and December–February) to secure the best camps. Last-minute bookings are sometimes possible — just ask.
