Overview

A 9 days private safari allows you to experience northern Tanzania’s very best areas for wildlife, scenery, and culture. The extra days allow a more relaxed pace (2 nights in each location) and the opportunity to visit the northern part of the Serengeti for the Great Migration.

Lake Manyara is an excellent introduction to African wildlife and ideal for viewing birdlife with over 400 species. Tarangire is a beautiful park filled with Baobabs and Acacias with a spectacular variety of game including lions, buffalo, elephants, giraffes, and waterbuck. The Ngorongoro is the largest intact crater in the world abundant with wild game including zebra, hippos, antelopes of all stripes, huge elephants, black rhinos, leopards, and hyenas.

The Serengeti is Tanzania’s most famous national park and one of the most spectacular parks in the world. These great plains cover some 14,763 square kilometers including expansive high grasslands, short grass plains, kopjes, forests, and lakes. Day 1 Transfer from Zanzibar to Central Serengeti - Seronera Serengeti National Park

Your journey begins with a domestic flight from the stunning island of Zanzibar to the heart of Tanzania's wilderness, the Serengeti. Upon landing at Seronera Airstrip, you'll be warmly greeted by your knowledgeable guide who will be your companion throughout this adventure.

Day 2 Serengeti National Park to Southern Serengeti and Ngorongoro Area Serengeti National Park

After a challenging night ascent from Barafu Camp, you will reach the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro at Uhuru Peak, where breathtaking panoramic views reward your effort. Following a short celebration and photo opportunities, begin your descent to Mweka Camp for a well-earned rest. For those continuing with a safari extension, the day transforms into a new adventure as you depart for Lake Manyara National Park, a reserve famous for its tree-climbing lions, diverse wildlife, and abundant birdlife. As you traverse its lush forests, open savannahs, and lakeshores, you will spot everything from elephants and giraffes to vibrant flocks of flamingos. Day 8 Full Day Game Drive in Northern Serengeti

Explore the Northern Serengeti’s vast plains and riverine areas, with optional early morning or late afternoon game drives to maximize your chances of witnessing predator activity and migration events. Dinner and overnight at the same camp.

Day 9 Return to Arusha / Kilimanjaro Airport

In the morning, transfer to Seronera Airstrip for your flight back to Arusha or Kilimanjaro International Airport. From there, connect with your onward flights or, if your departure is scheduled for the following day, spend a comfortable night in Arusha before continuing your journey.
