This full-day trip includes a scenic hike through lush forest trails, a visit to the stunning 80-meter-high waterfall, and a local coffee-making experience with the Chagga tribe. Itinerary
08:00 AM – Pick-up from Hotel
Pick-up from your hotel in Arusha or Moshi
Drive through beautiful banana plantations and local villages (approx. 1.5–2 hours)
10:30 AM – Start of the Hike
Begin a guided walk (approx. 45–60 minutes) through lush forests to reach the waterfall
Learn about local flora, fauna, and culture along the way
11:30 AM – Materuni Waterfall
Arrive at the waterfall and enjoy the view
Optional: Swim in the natural pool beneath the falls (refreshing but cold!)
01:00 PM – Coffee Tour & Local Lunch
Return to the village
Learn and participate in traditional coffee processing: picking, roasting, grinding, and drinking fresh Chagga coffee
Enjoy a hot local lunch prepared by the community
03:30 PM – Drive Back
Begin your return trip to Moshi or Arusha
05:30 PM – Drop-off at Your Hotel
